Nate James
Nate James is a middleweight fighting out of San Jose, CA. James has fought for Bellator, Strikeforce and several other promotions.
Throughout high school James was active in football, wrestling, and track. As a senior James signed to Georgia State University as a bluechip high school wrestler. GSU would however, drop their wrestling program after his first year. Subsequently, James transferred to Lindenwood University. Lindenwood’s wrestling program had finished last in national competition the previous year. With James alongside head coach Joe Parisi, the program blossomed into a national champion three years later.
James continued into graduate school, and as an assistant Coach, helping coach LU to a runner-up national finish.
After college, James got involved with a group of friends doing Jiu-Jitsu, and that led to his professional MMA career. James' current MMA record is 14-8-1. James most recent bout was at Bellator MMA 125 on September 19, 2014 where James won by split decision over Anthony Ruiz.
